For the past several years NUNM research faculty have conducted an annual week–long, evidence–based medicine workshop to train our clinical faculty in research literacy. This year we are taking a mini–version of this workshop on the road and we invite you to join us! Research literacy is the ability to access, interpret, and critically evaluate primary medical literature. Come learn how to effectively search the medical literature to answer your clinical questions, critically appraise scientific studies you find, and ensure that the evidence presented to you is of high quality and meaningful to your practice.
These weekend courses run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Cost for the course is $200 and scholarships may be available upon request. Continuing education credit (10.5 credits: 8.5 general, 2 ethics) is expected for each of these weekends and will be posted here once it has been approved. Online registration will be available soon.
Please keep an eye on this page as we post registration for upcoming events; dates and locations may be subject to change. Direct any questions to Angela Senders, ND, MCR, firstname.lastname@example.org or 503.552.1743. We look forward to seeing you on the road!
