Research Training

NUNM is committed to training complementary and integrative health researchers at every level of their career development. Research training opportunities are available for students, graduates and post-doctoral researchers. Our research training programs are strengthened through  collaborations with R1 research institutions and other regional universities including Oregon Health & Science University, University of Washington, Oregon State University, Portland State University and Pacific University, among others.

Student Research Training

Research training opportunities for students include:

  • Work-study positions working with research investigators on current projects. For current opportunities visit https://studentservices.nunm.edu/workstudy-jobs/ and search for “Helfgott” in the location field.
  • The Master of Science in Integrative Medicine Research degree is offered for students who wish to pursue careers in research. The curricula combines elements from Master of Public Health and Master of Clinical Research degrees. As part of the program, students complete an independent thesis project and are encouraged to publish their research.

Post-Doctoral Research Training

NUNM offers post-doctoral clinical research training in complementary and integrative health through the Building Research across Inter-Disciplinary Gaps (BRIDG) program.
