Erica Sharpe, PhD
Dr. Sharpe graduated from Clarkson University with a PhD in Chemistry. Prior to applying to the BRIDG program at NUNM, Dr. Sharpe’s research was primarily focused on the development of portable nanoparticle-based paper sensors for the colorimetric detection of food antioxidants.
Building on her experience as a yoga teacher, Dr. Sharpe’s current research focus is on Yoga Nidra for improved sleep. While a participant in the BRIDG program, she has completed a Yoga Nidra Sleep study and several Yoga Nidra focus groups that serve as preliminary data for her R61/R33 grant application. She also continues her antioxidant research with an investigation into mycological antioxidants.
